Arty magazine

Arty is an art-centred magazine in all aspects: made by and for artists and art lovers, it conveys an art-writing practice that does not necessarily align with a narrower understanding of art criticism. Edited by artist Cathy Lomax since April 2001 and inspired by the seminal punk zine Sniffin’ Glue, it represents the freedom zines and independent publishing has to give voice to on the ground — and underground — creators.

The collection holds sixteen issues of the magazine (numbers 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 28, 29, 36): Library Catalogue.
